Our standard recommendation is EFI: a balanced fine-grain industrial grade for precision components, research and thermal applications. ECO is the economical choice for less demanding parts; EXC is particularly suitable for high mechanical loads, fine details and demanding precision components.

Product description
Precision-ground rod made from isostatically pressed graphite with fine-sawn ends. The rods provide good concentricity and consistent surface quality.
Typical applications: EDM, HIP and pressure sintering, glass processing, lubrication and guide elements, bearings, spacers, bushings, pistons and needles.

Operating temperature
Graphite begins to oxidize more rapidly in oxygen-containing atmospheres from approximately 450 °C. In inert gas or vacuum, substantially higher operating temperatures are possible, depending on grade, load and application.
